Types & Origins
Historic peridot was mined on Zabargad Island (Egypt), one of the oldest known sources. Arizona (USA) is today a major producer of fine peridot. Kashmir region yields highly saturated green crystals of exceptional quality. Myanmar (Burma) also produces notable specimens with strong brilliance.
